Ford will have a new president and CEO in Spain starting December 1. Mango, for its part, has appointed a new head of HR who will take office in January 2027.
According to Ara, the week has brought several changes at the top of multinational companies with a presence in Spain. The most notable is Ford Iberia, which will have Elena Burguete as its new president and CEO starting December 1.
Burguete has over 30 years of experience in the company. She has held positions in marketing, finance, and commercial vehicles, and in 2023 she moved to Ford Europe as director of field operations CX. She replaces Jesús Alonso, who is retiring after more than 30 years with the company, over 10 of which were spent as president and CEO in Spain.
At Mango, Marlies Hersbach will lead the HR department (chief people officer) from January 2027. She succeeds David Payeras, who is leaving the position at the end of this year to pursue new professional projects. Hersbach joined the company in 2020 as director of international retail and is currently the director of customers and online consumption.
“Her dedication, strategic vision, and outstanding contribution to developing organizational transformation,” in the words of Mango regarding Payeras.
In the legal field, the firm Osborne Clarke has appointed Ana Castedo as a partner in Spain. The firm places her in the sectors of technology, media and telecommunications, and life sciences. Castedo has over 25 years of experience and has worked at Uría Menéndez and Hogan Lovells Cadwalader.
Other changes have also occurred. Pol Solanellas takes over as president of Cerclemón, the solidarity commission of the employers' association Cecot in Igualada, replacing Marta Sánchez Ugart, who led the group since January 2024. On the other hand, Myriam Gimeno, CEO of Nealis, has been named the national winner of the tenth edition of the Empresaria award from CaixaBank.
Finally, as reported by El Periódico, technology expert Genís Roca has sold the shares he still held in RocaSalvatella, the consultancy he founded in 2008, to his co-founder Josep Salvatella. The Official Gazette of the Mercantile Registry (BORME) recorded Roca's revocation as joint administrator, leaving Salvatella as the sole administrator.
