Entain raised its net gaming revenue by 2 % in the third quarter of 2026. Spain grew double digits online, while Brazil fell 36 % after closing its regulated market.
According to gamingintelligence.com, Entain raised its net gaming revenue from continuing operations at constant exchange rates by 2 % in the third quarter of 2026. The online betting and gaming group reported the figure in its trading update, although the total NGR for the international segment fell 4 % year-on-year.
In Spain, online NGR grew double digits, as did in New Zealand and Canada. In Italy, NGR declined 6 % despite a strong increase in volume, due to favourable football match results for customers. Online NGR in Australia rose 1 %.
The regulated online gaming market in Brazil closed in October, and net gaming revenue in the country fell 36 % in the quarter. The company attributes this to a disciplined marketing strategy and its relationship with players in an increasingly demanding environment before the closure.
The Central and Eastern Europe segment, now discontinued, maintained stable revenues: net gaming rose 1 % and sports fell 1 %. Including discontinued operations, the group's total NGR increased 1 %.
“I am pleased with the third-quarter results, which reflect the strength of our management,” said Stella David, CEO of Entain.
David urged the UK Government to carefully consider any new increases in gaming taxes, which she believes could jeopardise businesses, jobs, and livelihoods.
For 2026, the company maintains its forecasts. If the Brazilian ban continues for the rest of the year, it expects annual online NGR growth of between 5 % and 7 % at constant exchange rates, compared to 4 % to 6 % if Brazil's effect is included. Underlying EBITDA, excluding parent company fees from the joint venture BetMGM, is expected to be at the lower end of the range of £910 million to £960 million.
