The average electricity price in the wholesale market this Tuesday, October 6, stands at 201.99 euros/MWh, with a minimum of 151.58 euros between 14:00 and 15:00 and a maximum of 271.62 euros between 20:00 and 21:00.
The average electricity price in the wholesale market will reach 201.99 euros per megawatt hour (MWh) this Tuesday, October 6, according to data published by the Iberian Energy Market Operator (OMIE). This figure represents a slight increase compared to Monday, as reported by La Razón.
The difference between hourly segments is again significant: there is a 120.04 euros/MWh difference between the minimum and maximum of the day. These amounts correspond to the wholesale market and do not reflect the final bill price, which includes fees, charges, and taxes.
The day starts with 205.91 euros/MWh between 00:00 and 01:00. The price drops during the early hours and hits its first minimum at 189.60 euros between 04:00 and 05:00, but rises sharply early in the morning to 240.41 euros between 08:00 and 09:00.
The central hours of the day concentrate the lowest values. The price decreases from 187.40 euros in the 11:00 to 12:00 slot to 151.58 euros/MWh between 14:00 and 15:00, the cheapest period of the entire Tuesday. It then rises slightly: 155.62 euros between 15:00 and 16:00 and 166.78 euros between 16:00 and 17:00.
The trend reversal consolidates from 17:00, when the price rises to 182.11 euros and continues to climb throughout the afternoon. It reaches 204.93 euros between 18:00 and 19:00 and 240.70 euros in the following slot.
The most expensive period of the day will be from 20:00 to 21:00, at 271.62 euros/MWh. After that, the cost remains high: 251.46 euros between 21:00 and 22:00, 227.03 euros between 22:00 and 23:00, and 214.21 euros between 23:00 and 24:00.
