The average price of electricity for households on the regulated tariff is set at €0.15527/kWh today, 17.3% less than yesterday. The period from 1 PM to 2 PM reaches -€0.00207/kWh, while the peak hour from 8 PM to 9 PM rises to €0.28446/kWh.

Domestic consumers and small businesses with the PVPC tariff in the Peninsula and Balearic Islands will pay an average price of €0.15527/kWh this Saturday, October 10, 2026, according to data updated at 00:01 hours. This figure represents a decrease of 17.3% compared to €0.18782/kWh yesterday and is below recent references, as reported by jereznews.com.

The drop is also significant compared to the weekly average, which stands at €0.19307/kWh (a 19.6% decrease), and the monthly average of €0.18515/kWh (a 16.1% reduction). This decrease is explained by higher renewable production and lower consumption typical of a weekend, although the evening peak maintains high prices.

The difference between the cheapest and the most expensive hour exceeds 28 cents per kWh. The valley period from 1 PM to 2 PM records a negative price of -€0.00207/kWh, meaning that consumers with PVPC are paid for feeding electricity into the grid during that time. At the opposite end, the peak hour from 8 PM to 9 PM reaches €0.28446/kWh.

"Shifting intensive uses like the washing machine or dishwasher to the 1 PM-2 PM slot can save nearly 29 cents per kWh consumed compared to the peak hour, between 8 PM and 9 PM," according to the analysis published by jereznews.com.

For an average family, this differential translates into direct savings on the monthly bill if appliances are scheduled during valley hours. Additionally, reviewing the contracted power and adjusting it to the household's actual needs prevents overpayment during lower usage periods.

The final price for those on the PVPC is updated daily at 00:01 hours and can be checked on the Red Eléctrica de España website or the official app. The next update will be for Sunday, October 11.
