The Seville neighbourhood of Torreblanca is once again the poorest in Spain, with an average annual gross income of €11,540 in 2024, according to the Statistics of Personal Income Tax (IRPF) filers by postal code compiled by the Tax Agency, as reported by elcorreoweb.es.
This figure is below the Minimum Interprofessional Wage for 2024, which was €15,876 gross per year. The average disposable income in this area is even lower, at €10,650.
The contrast within the capital of Seville is notable. The Casco Antiguo-Este-Nervión-Sur district reaches an average gross annual income of €44,725, 4.87 times more than Torreblanca. The average for the entire city of Seville stands at €32,034, meaning Torreblanca residents declare a third of that amount.
Another statistic revealed is the number of filers: only 1,937 people out of 18,000 living in the area filed a tax return that year.
Among the Seville neighbourhoods with the lowest incomes, Torreblanca also falls far behind. The postal codes of Bellavista-La Palmera-Cerro-Amate-Este record €22,764 annually, while Bellavista-La Palmera-Casco Antiguo-Cerro-Amate-Sur stands at €21,888, nearly double that of Torreblanca.
