BBVA will pay a gross dividend of €0.37 per share on Thursday, October 15, the largest in its history for an interim payment. This Monday, October 12, is the last day to purchase shares with entitlement to the payment.

Shareholders of BBVA who wish to receive the interim dividend of €0.37 gross per share (€0.2997 net) have until this Monday, October 12, to buy shares with entitlement to the payment. The bank will disburse the funds on Thursday, October 15, according to a communication sent to the CNMV on October 1, as reported by finect.com.

This is the largest interim dividend in the entity's history, exceeding the €0.32 distributed in 2025 by nearly 16%. The distribution will amount to approximately €2 billion, although the final figure will depend on the number of shares outstanding at the close of the last day with entitlement.

The Spanish stock market opens normally this Monday despite being a national holiday. The BME calendar for 2026 only designates January 1, April 3 and 6, May 1, and December 25 as non-trading days.

The dividend is the only payment from a company in the Ibex 35 scheduled for this month.

The key dates for the payment are as follows: on Tuesday, October 13, the share will trade ex-dividend, meaning without entitlement to the payment; on Wednesday, October 14, is the record date, and on Thursday, October 15, the amount will be disbursed. Those who buy from Tuesday, October 13, will not receive this dividend, as stock market transactions settle two business days later, and only orders executed by Monday will arrive in time.

A shareholder with 1,000 shares will receive €370 gross, which amounts to €299.70 net after a 19% withholding tax. The final amount depends on each investor's tax situation.

After BBVA's payment, the next dividend from the Ibex 35 will arrive on November 2, with Banco Santander (€0.127 gross) and Inditex (€0.875 gross in two tranches). Both have an ex-dividend date of October 29, according to BME data.
