The president of Audax Renovables, José Elías, denounces on X the lack of protection, the difficulties in taking sick leave, and the absence of political support for the self-employed.

According to cronista.com, José Elías, president of Audax Renovables, criticized in a post on his X account, dated 3rd November, the situation of self-employed workers in Spain. In the message, he stated: «I know self-employed people who have faced more hardship than many employees».

The businessman pointed out the lack of protection, the difficulties in accessing sick leave, and the absence of political support for this group. According to his post, some self-employed individuals have worked for months without pay, and others have been unable to stop their activities when they fall ill, as their businesses could not continue operating.

«We are creating a system that systematically crushes those trying to get a business off the ground».

Elías also lamented that no political party has consistently defended the rights of the self-employed. In this regard, he urged political leaders to acknowledge the challenges of running a business and to improve their conditions.

«No political party has ever been interested in championing the cause of the self-employed or defending our rights».

The message does not include specific measures or official data regarding the situation of the self-employed. It is a personal assessment from the businessman, published on his X profile.
