The innovation programme of Creand Crèdit Andorrà celebrates its Demo Day with 80 attendees and eight European projects that have validated pilots with companies in the Principality.
The first edition of Andorra Open Valley, the acceleration programme driven by Creand Accelera, the innovation hub of the Andorran bank Creand Crèdit Andorrà, concluded this Tuesday with a Demo Day held in Andorra la Vella attended by around 80 people. During the event, the eight participating startups presented the results of the pilots they have developed alongside collaborating companies from the Principality, as reported by ecosistemastartup.com.
The Director of Innovation at Creand Crèdit Andorrà, Santiago de Larrea, framed the programme as a way to "connect with talent, generate useful solutions, and open new future opportunities," according to the statement released by the entity.
The startups that have completed this first cohort are Novem, Doshi, ToumAI, Build38, Wastelocker, TUBR, Graphite Note, and Gridbrid. All of them have worked with companies in the country in three main areas: improving financial processes and reporting through artificial intelligence and automation, digital security and authentication to reduce fraud in digital channels, and other business cases related to operations and customer experience.
After the lightning pitch presentations, the founder of Emogg Analytics, Edgar Sanjuán, delivered the talk "Acceleration with return: how startups and partners turn pilots into business."
The programme has the international backing of Plug and Play Tech Center, an innovation and venture capital platform based in Silicon Valley with a presence in over 60 locations. Its network exceeds 550 corporate partners and 100,000 startups, allowing a small-scale initiative like the Andorran one to access a flow of European projects without having to build all the infrastructure from scratch.
Plug and Play has intensified its European expansion in 2026: in April it launched its first programme in Cyprus, in Limassol, co-financed by the Cypriot government and corporations like Mastercard or ASBIS, and in October it will hold the Tirana Expo 2026 with its second batch in Albania.
Creand, the result of the rebranding of Grup Crèdit Andorrà in May 2023, has 900 employees worldwide and a presence in Andorra, Spain, Luxembourg, and the United States. The entity articulates its innovation strategy through the Innovation Hub and the venture capital fund Scale Lab Andorra. In June 2025, it launched the Enlaira programme in conjunction with Andorra Business, aimed at established Andorran startups, with a funding of 12,000 euros per selected company (5,000 in cash and the rest in zero commissions, mentoring, and access to events).
While Enlaira rewards with funding, Andorra Open Valley offers European startups the validation of their product with real corporate clients in a small but demanding market. Companies interested in participating in future editions can follow the calls through Creand Accelera's channels.
