BBVA and Banco Santander will collaborate with Nvidia on an architecture to create, isolate, and monitor secure artificial intelligence agents. The initiative, called Openshell Reference Architecture, is aimed at critical systems.
According to El Plural, BBVA and Banco Santander will work alongside Nvidia to develop a security architecture for artificial intelligence agents. The technology company announced this on Wednesday.
The initiative is called Openshell Reference Architecture and is designed to create, isolate, and monitor secure AI agents in critical systems and business infrastructures. Both financial entities will study how to apply it to enhance the security and governance of these agents.
The collaboration has been joined by cybersecurity companies such as 1Password, Check Point, Crowdstrike, Cisco, F5, Fortinet, Microsoft, Okta, Palo Alto Networks, TrendAI, and Zscaler, which will integrate the technology into their solutions. On the other hand, Cadence, Dassault, IBM, SAP, Siemens, and Synopsys are developing platforms based on AI agents.
BBVA indicates that the alliance allows for greater security and control guarantees from the early design phases of these agents. The bank frames it within its strategy to extend the implementation of these tools throughout the organization, aiming to optimize internal processes and improve customer experience.
The global head of the banking sector at Nvidia, Aser Blanco, explains the scope of the agreement:
Through our collaboration, BBVA will explore how to enforce these limits during the operation of the agents, with the goal of enhancing customer experience and employee productivity without losing control
