CaixaBank has executed 65.96% of its share buyback programme, with a maximum of €500 million. It has already invested over €329 million.
After 24 weeks of operations, the entity has already allocated more than €329 million to repurchase its own shares, which represents 65.96% of the maximum amount of the programme, set at €500 million.
The data was communicated to the National Securities Market Commission (CNMV) this Friday, as reported by business-people.es. The programme was announced in May and, since then, the bank has acquired nearly 27 million of its own shares.
In the last week, the entity purchased 905,412 shares for an amount close to €12 million.
BNP Paribas is the manager of the programme and executes the purchases according to the established conditions. The operations are carried out on the Spanish Continuous Market, DXE Europe, Turquoise Europe, and Aquis Exchange, and CaixaBank cannot buy more than 25% of the average daily volume of its shares in each trading venue in a single day.
The buyback has a maximum duration of six months, although it may be concluded earlier if the maximum amount is reached or if another circumstance justifies it. There are approximately €171 million left to execute, so the final volume will depend on the purchases made until the programme closes.
