CVC is evaluating launching a delisting bid for Verisure, which has been listed in Stockholm since October 2025. Since its stock market debut, the share has accumulated a decline of over 42%.

According to elEconomista, the investment fund CVC is considering launching a delisting bid for Verisure, the home security company that went public just over a year ago. As reported by Reuters and the Financial Times, the operation is in an initial phase and there is no certainty that an agreement will be reached.

Verisure debuted on the Stockholm stock exchange in October 2025 with a valuation of €13.7 billion, a figure that it surpassed in the first months. In the last trading session, its valuation had fallen by over 42%, down to around €9.7 billion. At times, it dropped below €9 billion.

The largest shareholder is Hellman & Friedman, with 44% of the group. The fund acquired Verisure in 2011 from EQT alongside Bain Capital for €2.3 billion, and in 2015 Bain sold its stake to Hellman & Friedman.

The brand originates from the spin-off of Securitas in 1988, for which the parent company received royalties for years. To move away from the name Securitas Direct in Spain and Portugal, the company estimated an investment of around €150 million.

Other recent cases have also lost value on the stock market. HBX, from Cinven, debuted at €11.50 per share and is now trading at €7.96, a 30% decrease. In Spain, Grupo Catalana Occidente, in which the Serra family holds just over 60%, completed a delisting bid at the end of the year that gave it total control.

For now, there is no formal offer or agreement between the parties.
