The Spanish company Gaor TM incorporates the Italian engineering firm Bacci Automation into its industrial division, allowing it to enter intralogistics, robotics, and automatic handling. Bacci contributes over 70 installations in Italy and two in Spain.
The Spanish company Gaor TM, specialised in on-demand packaging systems and end-of-line automation, has integrated the Italian engineering firm Bacci Automation into its industrial division, as reported by ecosistemastartup.com. This operation allows Gaor to move beyond the final stage of production and delve into intralogistics, automatic handling, robotics, and the integration of intermediate processes.
Bacci Automation has over 70 operational installations in Italy and already has two underway in Spain, according to data published by the company itself. The engineering firm designs and integrates customised solutions in four areas: robotics, automatic handling, intralogistics, and integration of production processes. Each project is tailored to the layout, product, and specific needs of the client, combining robots, transport systems, intermediate storage, and existing equipment on-site.
The technology has begun to be implemented in the Spanish market, and this accumulated experience is the leverage that Gaor TM aims to exploit. The company offers Bacci a local team with its own commercial network and technical support, in exchange for a catalogue of proven solutions that would be difficult to develop from scratch within a reasonable timeframe. This model is common in B2B industrial distribution: the engineering firm provides technical knowledge while the local partner offers market access and proximity to the client.
Among the catalogue that Gaor TM begins to offer in Spain, Biblyon stands out, a dynamic storage system for panels and semi-finished components. Instead of accumulating parts on the floor or in passive shelves, Biblyon temporarily stores them, identifies them, and returns them to the process when needed. The manufacturer estimates a capacity of up to 3,500 pieces in a compact space. The effect is to convert a dead buffer into an active buffer that absorbs differences in pace between processes, reducing downtime, eliminating manual handling, and allowing for planning with less uncertainty.
"In many industrial installations, a significant portion of productivity losses is not found in the production machines themselves. Waiting, material accumulation, manual movements, sequence changes, component sorting, or differences in pace between different processes can create bottlenecks that are difficult to resolve solely by increasing manufacturing speed," explains Gaor TM in the statement.
The company had already organised a technical day in September in Barberà del Vallès (Barcelona) alongside Brafim to showcase the integration between automated outer packaging, using Panotec technology, which Gaor TM represents in Spain, and the interior protection designed by Brafim. Javier García, Sales Director of Gaor TM, participated in that meeting. With the incorporation of Bacci, the company expands its partner ecosystem towards the phase prior to packaging.
