Liux has presented its electric car Big at the 2026 Paris Motor Show. The company anticipates its arrival in Spain, France, and Italy in 2027 and has opened the waiting list.
According to Valencia Plaza, the company with production facilities in Elche and Novelda unveiled the electric vehicle Big, its first model, during the 2026 Paris Motor Show. Liux has spent seven days at the fair, its first participation in a motor show, and has brought the car along with part of its structure on display.
At the stand, the company showcased the linen composite body suspended above the display and the chassis without coverings. Liux defines the Big as the world's first car with a body made from this material. The presentation was led by the CEO, Antonio Espinosa de los Monteros.
The Big is an urban car measuring 2.7 meters in length. Its linen composite monocoque weighs, according to the company, 40% less than steel. It uses cobalt-free LFP batteries with a modular architecture and offers a range of up to 270 kilometers, with a consumption of 6.7 kWh per 100 kilometers and a maximum power of 35 kW.
The vehicle falls under the European L7e category, so its homologation is different from that of a conventional car. This classification allows it to be driven in Europe from the age of 16 years. Liux has set a projected price of less than 18,000 euros, including VAT and without public subsidies, and plans an investment of 30 million euros over five years.
The company expects the Big to arrive in France, Italy, and Spain in 2027, which are its first markets. Liux has also opened the waiting list for interested parties. Before the presentation, it already had 7,500 people registered. For that year, the company estimates a turnover of 80 million euros, and for 2028, it anticipates 170 million and a production of 15,000 units annually.
Manufacturing will be organized among several facilities. The Novelda plant is dedicated to biocomposite components, such as the chassis and body, while Elche focuses on R&D, validation of components, and structural elements like the monocoque. Final assembly is planned in Azuqueca de Henares, Guadalajara.
