The company listed on BME Growth expects to generate more than 100 million euros in 2030 with its own technology. It has just closed a funding round of 39.2 million euros.
According to pressdigital.es, Substrate AI, a Spanish artificial intelligence company listed on BME Growth, has set the goal of generating more than 100 million euros in 2030. The new roadmap, unanimously approved by its board of directors, prioritises the development of proprietary technology and the evolution of its business model.
The company presented the plan at the AI Summit held at La Casa Encendida in Madrid. The main change involves shifting from intermediating GPU computing capacity to marketing tokens executed on its own infrastructure and differentiated technology. To this end, the company will launch the Orion models, based on open-weight technology.
"It allows us to be more scalable, diversify our revenue sources, and move towards our goal of exceeding 100 million euros in revenue by 2030"
The CEO, Lorenzo Serratosa, explained the commitment to its artificial intelligence models, the sale of tokens, and proprietary platforms.
The roadmap is supported by three areas: the sale of tokens to access the inference capacity of its models, subscriptions to artificial intelligence platforms to generate recurring revenue, and specialised technological services for projects, health, and IT and AI professionals. To measure progress, the firm will track three indicators: the number of tokens sold, active users on its platforms, and billable hours in the services division.
At the same event, speakers from Lenovo, IQM Quantum Computers, and Pictet Asset Management participated, along with the executive director of Capitalisation of the Spanish Society for Technological Transformation (SETT), José Marino García, and economist Juan Ramón Rallo, who closed the day.
On another note, the company has completed a global funding round of 39.2 million euros, with the participation of two private partners. The operation is a three-year mandatory convertible bond issuance, which will not dilute the current shareholding until maturity. SETT contributed 19.2 million euros and each of the private investors, 8 International LTD and Loft Structured Opportunities Fund, nearly 10 million euros.
