Presenter Susanna Griso claims that the rental availability in Barcelona has decreased by 20% while prices have dropped by 5%. She recounts that after four months of searching, she has not found a flat.
According to Sport, Antena 3 presenter Susanna Griso spoke on 'Espejo Público' about the rental market in Barcelona, where she stated that the availability of flats has decreased by 20%.
Griso explained that the limited rentals in the city have caused prices to drop by 5%, but that the availability has contracted by 20%, meaning there are 20% fewer flats on offer.
The presenter shared her personal experience: after four months of searching, she has not found a rental flat, despite having a salary and guarantees.
“I have spent four months, I, who supposedly have a salary and guarantees, have not found a rental flat.”
Furthermore, she pointed out that many owners opt for temporary rentals and lease them to companies to navigate the difficulties of the market.
“For individuals, it is almost impossible to find a rental.”
Finally, Griso called on the Government for a radical change in the real estate situation, as she stated that the situation worsens each year.
