The Iberdrola Spain Foundation and Ayuda en Acción promote the Impulsa FP Extremadura programme: Youth with Future, which trains 480 vocational students from Badajoz and Almendralejo in employment skills. The initiative includes training pathways, tutoring, and internships with companies.

A total of 480 young people from Extremadura aged between 16 and 24 are participating in the Impulsa FP Extremadura: Youth with Future programme, an initiative by Ayuda en Acción with the support of the Iberdrola Spain Foundation aimed at improving their employability and inclusion in the labour market. This is reported by infoprovincia.net, which details that the students come from four educational centres in Badajoz and Almendralejo.

The participants are studying Basic Vocational Training, Intermediate Degree, and Higher Degree in strategic sectors with high employment insertion, especially those linked to the green transition and the electrical sector, such as Electricity, Computing, Air Conditioning, and Energy Efficiency. This morning, the Social Action team from the Iberdrola Spain Foundation, including Teresa Rodríguez de Tembleque and Julia Cuevas, visited the IES San Roque de Badajoz to learn about the project's development.

The programme is structured through training pathways that combine group sessions, individual tutoring, and practical activities in contact with companies and professionals from various sectors. The content covers the development of personal and professional skills such as strengthening self-esteem and emotional intelligence, decision-making ability, communication, teamwork, and entrepreneurial initiative, as well as digital skills, including those related to the professional use of artificial intelligence.

“Vocational training plays a key role in preparing the professionals that our society demands. With this Impulsa FP Extremadura project by Ayuda en Acción, we contribute to hundreds of young people from Extremadura developing personal and professional skills that allow them to face their entry into the labour market with greater guarantees and design their own life project,” stated Teresa Rodríguez de Tembleque, head of the Social Action and Training area of the Iberdrola Foundation.
“When we work with vocational training young people, we are not just preparing them to get a job. We are talking about helping them discover what they are capable of, reinforcing their confidence, and giving them tools to make decisions about their future. That support can make the difference between falling behind or advancing towards a life project with opportunities,” highlighted Miguel Tortajada, head of the Impulsa project at Ayuda en Acción.

According to Ayuda en Acción, the programme's impact indirectly reaches around 1,440 people through guidance, support, and awareness actions in educational environments, aiming to make them more inclusive and connected to the needs of the labour market. The entity believes that the initiative also benefits the families, teachers, and close environments of the 480 participants.
