Unemployed individuals with at least 90 days of contributions can access a benefit of 570 euros per month for three months. The duration increases based on the days worked before becoming unemployed.
According to elperiodicodearagon.com, SEPE has announced that those with 90 days of contributions can access a benefit of 570 euros per month for three months. This is the subsidy for insufficient contributions, aimed at individuals who do not have the right to contributory benefits.
According to data from the Ministry of Labour and Social Economy, the total number of unemployed in Spain stood at 2,379,505 people in September 2026, a 1% increase from August. Unemployment benefits had 1,779,989 beneficiaries at the same time, although not all unemployed individuals have contributed enough time to access this aid.
The amount is equivalent to 95% of the IPREM. The duration depends on the days worked before becoming unemployed: between 90 and 119 days, three months; between 120 and 149 days, four months; between 150 and 179 days, five months; and with 180 days or more, six months without family responsibilities or up to 21 months with them.
To apply, one must be in a legal unemployment situation, not have the right to a contributory benefit, have worked at least 90 days, and be registered as a job seeker when SEPE processes the application. Personal income must not exceed 915.75 euros per month, which is 75% of the minimum interprofessional wage.
The deadline is six months from the legal unemployment situation. If the application is submitted within the first 15 working days, payment starts from the day after the qualifying event; if submitted later, from the date of the application. It can be processed at the SEPE electronic headquarters or in person at their offices, with prior appointment.
