Digi marks its first quarter in the Spanish market with a 14.10% increase since its launch at €5.60. Analyst consensus gives it a 16.1% potential, although target price recommendations vary widely.
According to merca2.es, Digi has closed its first quarter on the Spanish stock market with a 14.10% increase from the €5.60 at its launch. The share price on Friday, 16 October, left the operator with a market capitalisation of €1.898 billion, compared to the 0.26% rise of the IBEX 35 during the same period.
The company was the last to debut on the Spanish stock exchange in 2026, with a prospectus registered with the CNMV that set the placement price at €5.60 per share. Its capitalisation is almost equal to that of HBX, which closed the same session at €1.899 billion.
In the business sector, Digi ranks third in broadband lines and fourth in mobile telephony in Spain, and captures a significant portion of net line additions in the two main market segments. Renta 4 analyst Iván San Félix believes that this rate of acquisition will continue.
The analyst consensus reported by Bloomberg sets the average target price at €7.42, representing a 16.1% potential over Friday's close of €6.39. More than 78% of the firms tracking the stock recommend buying.
The range is wide. Kepler, Citi, and Santander exceed €8 per share, while Bestinver Securities sets its value at €5, nearly 22% below Friday's close. The manager revealed on 15 October that it had purchased shares of Digi during the last quarter through its funds. Its manager, Ricardo Seixas, expects the company to reach a market share close to 20% by 2030, with an acquisition of around 600,000 net customers annually.
Berenberg includes Digi among its favourite stocks in the sector and raises its target price to €7.60. The German bank highlights the growth of the Spanish business, its price leadership, and its ability to deploy fibre at a lower cost than its rivals. It also points to a possible combination between Digi Spain and Zegona as part of a potential consolidation of the Spanish market.
Digi is trading at 9 times the estimated EBITDA for 2026, compared to 4.5 times for the three major incumbent operators in Spain. Meanwhile, the European telecommunications sector has accumulated a 7.99% increase so far this year.
The company maintains long-term agreements with Telefónica that allow it to expand its coverage without replicating the network investment of an incumbent. Digi is also a leader in Romania, a market that serves as a backup if the Spanish market enters a price war.
