The Spanish index loses 99.80 points and closes at the day's low. The session started at 19,755.60 and failed to recover at any point.

The IBEX 35 closed the session on Monday, 28 September 2026 at 19,600.30 points, which represents a decrease of 99.80 points compared to the previous close, equivalent to 0.51%, according to data collected by Yahoo Finance and published by elperiodicodeceuta.es.

The index began the day at 19,755.60 points, marked an intraday high of 19,769.60, and ended at the day's low, 19,600.30. The previous close had been 19,700.10 points.

The stock market week reflects a sideways movement without a clear direction. On 22 September, the index closed at 19,754.10 points; on the 23rd, at 19,632.20; on the 24th, at 19,573.40; on the 25th, at 19,700.10; and this Monday, at 19,600.30. Over five sessions, the index has moved within a range of less than 200 points.

For companies that rely on bank financing, the index's performance affects access to credit and the cost of money. Movements in the euribor, which is the benchmark for variable-rate mortgages, continue to influence the cost of loans for households and SMEs.

Savers with equity-linked products feel these variations in the performance of their portfolios. The range in which the IBEX has moved in recent days, between 19,500 and 19,700 points, calls for caution when planning purchases or adjusting positions.
