The President of the Community of Madrid, Isabel Díaz Ayuso, condemned on Thursday in the regional Assembly that the PSOE wants to "eliminate judges investigating corruption" and questioned how to trust a "mafioso" Government.
The President of the Community of Madrid, Isabel Díaz Ayuso, launched an attack on Thursday against the PSOE for wanting to "eliminate judges investigating corruption" and asked how citizens can trust a Government she has labelled as "mafioso". She made these remarks during the session of control to the Government in the Plenary of the regional Assembly, as reported by infobae.com.
The regional leader linked these criticisms to the statement of Cintia Rocho as a witness before the Central Operational Unit (UCO) of the Guardia Civil, in which she indicated that the Leire network contacted her and spoke of "eliminating" the judge from Badajoz, Beatriz Biedma, who investigated David Sánchez, brother of the Prime Minister, Pedro Sánchez.
"Their campaign is against the judges trying to use, not the sewers, but the hard core of the PSOE to eliminate judges investigating the corruption of Pedro Sánchez's family. It's very strong"
Ayuso pointed to the "probable indictment" of the PSOE for using "public funds" to go "against judges, against prosecutors, and against all those who do their job in Spain".
In her speech, the Madrid president recalled that in 2023 nearly half a million Spaniards could not vote by mail and maintained that "there are indeed doubts". She also referred to the Government's intention to "inflate censuses" with "hasty" regularisations and the grandchild law.
"How can we trust them?"
The control session in the Assembly of Madrid focused on the judicial and electoral strategy of the central Executive, a matter that the regional president brought to parliamentary debate following the latest information regarding the investigation into the Extremaduran judge.
