The president of the PP in Castellón, Marta Barrachina, has championed Alberto Núñez Feijóo as the solution to guarantee "more housing and less inflation" in Spain. She criticized the government's lack of management and called for faster permits and increased protected housing.
The provincial president of the PP in Castellón, Marta Barrachina, defended the national party president, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, on Saturday as the alternative to ensure "more housing and less inflation" in Spain. She made these remarks during the National Executive Board of the PP, as reported by eldebate.com.
Barrachina demanded "the urgent decision-making that Spain needs to tackle a problem that Sánchez's government has turned into endemic." In her speech, she listed the measures that, in her opinion, should be adopted: "build more housing, promote land to the market, increase protected housing, expedite permits, and help young people and families pay rent or buy their first home."
The provincial leader assured that both the PP of Castellón and the national PP are "prepared to provide effective responses to problems generated by the PSOE." She added that they have a Housing Plan with concrete measures so that young people "can become independent, start a family, and stay in our province."
"Housing cannot be a barrier for the young people of Castellón. The solution is clear: build more housing, promote land to the market, increase protected housing, expedite permits, and help young people and families pay rent or buy their first home."
Alongside housing, Barrachina focused on the evolution of prices. She recalled that the CPI surged in August to 4.3%, while fuels and energy rose by 21.3%. She also warned that on 1 October, a decision will be made on the gas tariff, an increase that, she said, "could drive up the price of a resource that is essential for thousands of families."
For the president of the PP in Castellón, the cost of the decisions made by the government of Pedro Sánchez falls on the citizens. "Every day the cost of the shopping basket increases and the bills for basic supplies keep rising," she noted before concluding that "the solution will come with the ballot boxes and is called Feijóo."
"Pedro Sánchez's goal, which is none other than to perpetuate himself in Moncloa, is costing us more every day."
Barrachina linked the government's lack of management to the rising cost of living and cited the situation in Ceuta as an example. "Its sovereignty is an indisputable issue. And Castellón stands with the people of Ceuta," she stated. The PP approved an initiative less than a week ago to defend Spanish sovereignty over Ceuta and Melilla and demand extraordinary and urgent measures from the government.
The provincial leader concluded her speech by appealing for electoral mobilization: "The only debate that mobilizes Spain today is when Pedro Sánchez will open the ballot boxes. Our province is eager to give a bath of democracy."
