Over 650 tax inspectors will gather on October 29 and 30 at the Congress Palace in Toledo to discuss the destination of taxes.
According to cantabrialiberal.com, more than 650 tax inspectors from the State across Spain will participate on October 29 and 30 at the Congress Palace in Toledo in the XXXVI Congress of the Association of State Tax Inspectors (IHA).
The meeting revolves around the theme "Taxes: where do our resources go? The value of the public and tax compliance." The sessions will address the future of the tax system, citizen trust in institutions, and the role of information in the tax field.
The inaugural event will take place on Thursday, October 29 and will feature the presence of the Secretary of State for Finance, Jesús Gascón, the president of IHA, Ana de la Herrán, and the mayor of Toledo, Carlos Velázquez Romo, among other authorities.
During the two days, there will be three round tables and an interview. Experts from academia, tax advisory, and tax inspection, senior officials from the Administration, and representatives from professional associations in Spain, Portugal, and Brazil will participate.
The program includes misinformation in tax matters and the use of data and artificial intelligence in the Administration. The association advocates for a unique, rigorous, and independent tax administration, and calls for maintaining the requirements for access to the inspection function.
The closing will be on Friday, October 30 led by Ana de la Herrán and the Director General of the Tax Agency, Antonio Ansón Latorre, who took office in July.
