Nine autonomous communities will shift the All Saints holiday to Monday, November 2, with a break starting Saturday, October 31. In December, Monday the 7th will be a holiday in nine communities and in Melilla.
According to what was published by cronista.com, November 1, All Saints' Day, falls on a Sunday in 2026, which forces each community to decide whether to move the holiday. Nine have opted for Monday, November 2: Andalusia, Aragon, Asturias, Canary Islands, Castilla-La Mancha, Castile and León, Extremadura, Community of Madrid, and Navarre.
According to the resolution from the General Directorate of Labour, published in the Official State Bulletin, in those regions the bridge runs from Saturday, October 31 to Monday, November 2, and banks, schools, and public bodies will remain closed. In the rest of the country, Monday the 2nd will be a working day. Cantabria, Catalonia, Valencian Community, Galicia, Balearic Islands, La Rioja, Basque Country, Region of Murcia, Ceuta, and Melilla have not included that date in their 2026 work calendar.
December 8, Feast of the Immaculate Conception, is a public holiday throughout the national territory. Monday, December 7 will be a day off in six communities that repeat the benefit from November (Andalusia, Aragon, Asturias, Castile and León, Extremadura, and Community of Madrid), and also in Melilla. Cantabria, La Rioja, and Region of Murcia will have a break from Saturday, December 5 to Tuesday, December 8.
Catalonia, the Valencian Community, Galicia, Balearic Islands, the Basque Country, and Ceuta will not add any extra days off for either of the two year-end holidays. Each municipality can add up to two local holiday days, according to Royal Decree 2001/1983, so it is advisable to check the local calendar and the applicable collective agreement.
