The Presidency Department announces the third edition of the Castilla y León Award Abroad, endowed with 18,000 euros across four categories. The deadline and applications are managed through the electronic headquarters of the Junta.
The Junta of Castilla y León has announced the third edition of the Castilla y León Award Abroad, an initiative from the Presidency Department that will distribute 18,000 euros among four categories. According to elespanol.com, the aim is to recognise the work of individuals and centres that support Castilians and Leonese residing outside the Community and promote the image of the region in other territories.
The call includes two awards for centres (in Spain and abroad), each endowed with 6,000 euros, and two for individuals (in Spain and abroad), each with 3,000 euros. The awardees will also receive a distinctive symbolic recognition of their achievement.
Applications can be submitted by Castilian and Leonese communities abroad and their federations, as well as associations linked to emigration and other public and private entities related to this field. Each proposal must include a justification report of the merits and the background of the nominated individuals or communities.
Applications submitted by those requesting the awards for themselves or for entities or groups they participate in will be excluded. The Presidency Department aims to highlight through these awards the work of welcoming, integrating, and supporting emigrants, as well as initiatives that facilitate their return to Castilla y León.
The deadline for submission and processing is managed through the electronic headquarters of the Junta of Castilla y León. Interested parties can consult the complete rules on the regional administration's portal.
