According to reports from cocinaintegral.net, ALVIC Group has designated Belén Frau as the non-executive chair of its Board of Directors. The decision was made by KKR and Artá Capital, shareholders of the company since 2019, along with the Rosales family.
The company, specialising in surfaces for kitchen furniture and home renovation solutions, frames the change within the growth strategy driven by its CEO, Javier Ortiz de Zárate, since 2025. Expansion into the United States is one of its priorities.
“ALVIC is an industrial company with over five decades of history, an unusual integrated model in the sector, and a privileged position to grow in markets like the United States. From the Board, my goal will be to support the management team and shareholders to consolidate that expansion with solid corporate governance that meets the Group's ambitions.”
Frau has over twenty years of experience in management and corporate governance. She started at Deloitte and, in 2004, joined Ingka Group, the main operator of IKEA, which according to the information provided has more than 166,000 employees, €41 billion in revenue, and a presence in 31 countries.
In 2011, she was appointed CEO of IKEA in Spain. She then led IKEA Italy and held the global deputy director position for Retail and Operations. As a member of the Global Executive Committee, she has chaired boards in eight countries. Her last role was directing the global brand positioning and communication strategy for the group.
The daily management remains unchanged. It will continue to be in the hands of Javier Ortiz de Zárate and his management team. Ortiz de Zárate has over twenty years of experience leading international industrial groups, including Dimoldura, which he managed until its acquisition by the Swiss group Arbonia in 2025.
Javier Rosales, who previously chaired the Board, will continue as a shareholder and member of the Board of Directors.
ALVIC operates solely in the B2B sector, with professional clients such as furniture manufacturers, distributors, and large chains. The company designs and manufactures its own decorative panels and controls the entire process, from the panel to the finished custom furniture. It has automated plants in Spain and the United States.
