Dos Grados has finalised a purchase agreement with Akuo to acquire three solar photovoltaic projects under development that total over 500 MW. The facilities are located in Castilla y León and Andalucía.
According to elEconomista.es, Dos Grados, a company dedicated to the long-term investment and management of sustainable real assets in the Iberian Peninsula, has signed with Akuo for the purchase of three solar photovoltaic energy projects in Spain with a combined installed capacity exceeding 500 MW. The projects are in the early stages of development.
The initiatives are located in Castilla y León and Andalucía. With this operation, the company expands its solar portfolio in the Spanish market in these two regions.
The CEO and founder of Dos Grados, Luis Palacios Castañeda, explained the strategy behind the agreement:
This agreement aligns with our growth strategy in Spain and strengthens our positioning as a long-term investor in renewable assets.
The company plans to develop the projects with models that reconcile renewable generation with other land uses. Among them, it considers the integration of agrivoltaic solutions, which combine electricity production with agricultural activity on the same land.
For its part, Akuo transfers to Dos Grados a portfolio of projects in which it contributes its experience in integrating facilities into the territory and in agrivoltaic initiatives.
With this purchase, Dos Grados continues to build a portfolio of renewable assets in Spain and Portugal. The company states that its goal is to generate clean and competitive energy in the territories where it operates.
