The Mutua Madrileña Foundation launches an audiovisual series that recognises young people leading innovative projects in health, technology and social action. The episodes, free of charge, are broadcast monthly on its platform.

The Mutua Madrileña Foundation has presented 'Young People Who Transform', an audiovisual series that gives a voice to young Spaniards leading innovative projects in health, technology and social action. The initiative, as reported by elindependiente.com, aims to recognise the commitment of this generation and their role as a driving force for social transformation.

The episodes, available in video and podcast format, are hosted on the Espacio Fundación Mutua platform, which is free to access and does not require registration. They can also be listened to on Spotify, iVoox and Apple Podcasts. The series releases a new episode each month.

The project kicked off with an interview with Tomás Lóbez, founder of Nixi for Children, an initiative that uses virtual reality to reduce children's anxiety before medical interventions. Lóbez explained that the idea was born after the loss of a classmate in his childhood.

The series also highlights the work of Olivia Génova, founder of Nataly, a medical device for the early detection of postpartum haemorrhages; and Antonio González-Adalid, promoter of COTI, an application to improve communication and well-being for individuals with technological or cognitive difficulties.

Another guest is Andy Aguilar, co-founder and CEO of Legit.Health, which employs artificial intelligence for the diagnosis and monitoring of dermatological diseases. Jordi Puig, co-founder of Haptika Technologies, develops prosthetics capable of restoring sensations such as touch or pressure. Also participating is Laëtitia Launet, creator of Llum Social, a platform that facilitates access to social resources for vulnerable individuals.

"With Young People Who Transform, we want to recognise a generation that is actively contributing to improving society through innovation, commitment and purpose. Their stories demonstrate that young talent can become a powerful tool for social transformation," says Lorenzo Cooklin, General Director of the Mutua Madrileña Foundation.

The Espacio Fundación Mutua platform features over 220 titles and 540 hours of audio and video content. This cultural dissemination line includes concert series and conferences, funding for cultural institutions, and free access to museums for members and their companions.

In the scientific field, the foundation allocated 2.3 million euros last July to 21 medical research projects in public hospitals across Spain, focusing on transplants, rare childhood diseases, severe traumatic injuries, child and adolescent mental health, and breast cancer. Additionally, it collaborates with FEDER through the IMPULSO Programme to facilitate rehabilitation therapies for nearly 1,900 individuals with rare diseases.

The entity opened in September the application period for its 15th Annual Call for Social Action Project Grants, endowed with one million euros to fund NGO initiatives aimed at improving the quality of life for disadvantaged groups, in areas such as disability, gender violence, children with health issues, and the labour integration of youth.
