Diego Ferrao joins Audax Renovables as Chief Financial Officer, Arturo Molina takes over from Andrea Firenze at Covestro Spain, Xavier Pont will lead Kern Pharma, and Eva López and Víctor J. Martín are joining as partners at Andersen Iberia.

The executive and professional market in Catalonia closes the last quarter of 2026 with a wave of appointments in companies and service firms. Diego Ferrao is the new Chief Financial Officer of Audax Renovables, aiming to support the execution of the strategic plan until 2030 from this area, according to Crónica Global.

Ferrao has over 20 years of experience in financial management and advisory, auditing, and transformation. He has held responsible positions in multinationals such as DuPont and Perrigo, and before joining Audax, he was the regional CFO for Spain, Italy, and the Netherlands at FutureLife.

In the chemical sector, Arturo Molina is the new General Director of Covestro in Spain. He takes over from Andrea Firenze as part of the transformation process announced by the company in March. Molina has been responsible for the Covestro plant in Tarragona since August, one of the four the company has in Spain along with those in Barcelona, Parets del Vallès, and Santa Margarida i els Monjos.

Molina joined Covestro in 2017 and between 2019 and his return to Spain served as the General Director of the company in Mexico and director of the Santa Clara factory. Firenze will assume new responsibilities within the group at the European level.

The pharmaceutical sector is also seeing changes. Xavier Pont has been appointed the new director of Kern Pharma, with the aim of leading management, driving growth, and reinforcing the company's consolidation. Pont arrives from the Indukern Group with over 30 years of experience in business consulting, much of his career spent at Deloitte, where he was a partner in the Life Sciences & Healthcare sector.

In the legal field, Eva López Parés and Víctor J. Martín have joined as partners in the litigation area at Andersen Iberia, following the firm's integration of Martín & Parés Abogados. This operation will strengthen the litigation practice and the legal advice and defense for companies at Andersen in Catalonia.

López Parés has over 25 years of experience in commercial litigation, with experience in Spanish courts and before the General Court of the EU. Martín served as a criminal judge before starting his career as a lawyer, has over 20 years of experience, and combines his work with teaching and speaking at conferences.

In logistics, Daniel Jiménez Díaz has been appointed director of the Barcelona branch of Enlaza, a company specialising in the distribution of palletised goods. He will be responsible for enhancing the capabilities of the hub in the Catalan capital, where the company centralises international flows and coordinates deliveries to 27,000 points.

Jiménez has held various responsible positions at Decathlon España, where he specialised in process optimisation. He has also worked for DHL Supply Chain as operations manager at the Barcelona centre, and before joining Enlaza, he was the logistics director at Circontrol.

In the healthcare sector, Rosa María Jorba has been appointed an honorary member of the American College of Surgeons (ACS), becoming the first Spanish woman to receive this distinction. Jorba is the clinical director of the general and digestive surgery service at the Hospital Joan XXIII de Tarragona.

The ACS highlights her as a prestigious academic and a leader in the surgical field. The doctor believes that the recognition distinguishes her work over the years and has expressed pride in bringing the name of Joan XXIII of Tarragona to the institution.

In the energy sector, Ramon Gallart has been re-elected as a board member of the EU DSO Entity, an association representing energy distribution network operators before European institutions. Gallart is the director of innovation at Estebanell and represents Anell, the group's distribution subsidiary, in the entity.

Gallart has developed much of his professional career in local electricity distribution, innovation, and digitalisation of networks. The EU DSO Entity groups over 800 European electricity distributors of all sizes.
