The price of electricity rises by 5.32% on Tuesday, November 3, to an average of €186.49/MWh. The cheapest hour costs €3.20/MWh and the most expensive, €309.16/MWh.

According to data from the Iberian Energy Market Operator (OMIE), collected by articulo14.es, the price of electricity on Tuesday November 3, 2026 rises to €186.49 per megawatt hour (MWh) in the Spanish wholesale market. This figure exceeds the Monday average of €177.06/MWh by €9.43, representing an increase of 5.32%.

The day is characterised by a significant difference between noon and the afternoon. The cheapest hour will be from 11:00 to 12:00, at €3.20/MWh, while the peak will occur from 18:00 to 19:00, at €309.16/MWh. There is a difference of €305.96 per megawatt hour between these two extremes.

Between 10:00 and 16:00, there are six consecutive hours below €100/MWh. The prices are €25.70 between 10:00 and 11:00, €5.17 between 12:00 and 13:00, €12.50 between 13:00 and 14:00, €40.16 between 14:00 and 15:00, and €98.32 between 15:00 and 16:00.

The afternoon and evening are the most expensive periods. Between 18:00 and 22:00, electricity exceeds €300/MWh for four consecutive hours. In the morning, the price starts at €208.90/MWh at midnight and reaches €269.75/MWh between 07:00 and 08:00.

The drop in price at noon is associated with solar production, which decreases in the afternoon and forces a reliance on other technologies to meet demand. However, the hourly data alone do not allow for the identification of which factor explains the increase this Tuesday.

For users with a tariff indexed to the hourly price, the timing of consumption can make a difference, although savings depend on the conditions of each contract.
