Feijóo has presented his economic proposals for 29N in Vigo, including a cut in income tax and tax exemption for self-employed individuals earning less than 85,000 euros.
The leader of the PP, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, outlined his main proposals for the 29N elections this Saturday in Vigo, as reported by Economía Digital. At the event, held at the Maritime Station, he urged his team to activate "the machinery to the max" with the aim of achieving political change in Spain.
In the fiscal realm, Feijóo promised to lower the income tax and reduce VAT on basic food items and electricity while inflation lasts. He also announced that he would exempt self-employed individuals earning less than 85,000 euros from taxation.
“We are going to lower taxes for those who deserve it most: middle incomes, families, the self-employed, and young people”
The popular candidate added that he would reduce the transfer tax on the first home and that families with children would pay less tax. He also criticized the “more than 100 tax increases” by the Government during the legislature.
On housing, Feijóo committed to building one million homes during the next legislature to increase supply. He proposed modifying the land law and the horizontal property law, and approving an anti-squatting law that, according to him, would allow for the eviction of squatters within 48 hours.
Regarding regional financing, he defended a “fair” system and called for an end to “the discrimination and privileges of a few.” Concerning the budgets, he criticized Pedro Sánchez for having “gone the whole legislature” without approving them.
