Caja Rural Central opens the application period for the Exceptional Self-Employed Award until 15 November 2026. The local winner will compete in a national final for €9,000.

According to elnuevodigitalmurcia.es, Caja Rural Central (CRC) has announced the Exceptional Self-Employed Award, a recognition for self-employed professionals whose careers contribute to the economic and social development of their environment. Applications can be submitted until 15 November 2026 via the website ruralcentral.es/premio-fuera-de-serie.

The initiative arises from the collaboration of twelve Rural Savings Banks. To be eligible for the award, candidates must have their social and tax domicile in Spain, have been continuously operating in the territory for more than two years, invoice more than €50,000, and contribute to the development of their environment through their activity.

The jury will evaluate the applications in three dimensions: Effort, which considers the career path, consistency, and adaptability to change; Impact, which measures the impact on the environment, such as job creation, sustainability, or the preservation of trades; and Future, which assesses the growth potential of the project and its capacity for innovation.

The process has two phases. In the first phase, a local jury made up of renowned professionals will choose the representative of CRC, who will be announced before 2 April 2027. In the second phase, the National Final, this winner will compete with representatives from the other eleven Rural Savings Banks for the prize of €9,000 to boost their business.
