Andalusia, Aragon and Galicia have signed a protocol to promote Road To Investment, a programme that connects startups and entrepreneurs with investors and funding networks outside their territory. The initiative is expected to expand to other communities starting in 2028.

According to pressdigital.es, the Junta de Andalucía, through Andalucía Emprende, the Instituto Aragonés de Fomento, and the Instituto Galego de Promoción Económica have signed a general collaboration protocol to launch Road To Investment. The programme aims for startups and entrepreneurs to access funding, investors, and growth opportunities beyond their home community.

The agreement, as detailed by the Junta de Andalucía in a press release, creates a framework for cooperation between these three public economic development entities. Its goal is to strengthen the entrepreneurial ecosystems of the three communities and facilitate contact between innovative projects and investors from different parts of Spain.

Each entity will call for public aid to select between ten and fifteen startups from their territory. The selected ones will be able to participate in the full itinerary and access on equal terms to the three innovation and investment events that the communities will organise. Additionally, spots will be reserved for projects from the other participating regions.

The programme will connect with the Top 101 Spain Up Nation recognitions, promoted by ENISA and the regional development agencies of the ADR Forum. Companies distinguished with this award will be able to include participation in Road To Investment among their benefits.

The protocol plans to progressively expand the itinerary to other autonomous communities. The incorporation of new regions is expected to begin in 2028, through the adhesion of regional economic development agencies or equivalent bodies integrated into the ADR Forum.
