Bankinter has achieved fifth place in the ranking of the 100 Best Companies to Work for in Spain for 2026 compiled by Actualidad Económica, as reported by territoriofintech.com. The entity thus becomes the first company from the Ibex 35 to be listed and improves its position compared to the previous edition.
The bank has obtained 1,985 points out of a maximum of 2,175. The study evaluates the policies and practices of participating companies in talent acquisition and management, compensation, planning, professional development, training, ESG criteria, and working conditions.
Companies with at least two years of activity in Spain and a workforce of over 100 employees globally voluntarily submit to the ranking.
Among the measures implemented by Bankinter are the publication of internal vacancies and rotation processes, allowing employees to broaden their experience and take on new responsibilities within the group. The entity also works on identifying future talent needs and developing the necessary skills to respond to changes in the sector.
Artificial intelligence is another key focus of internal transformation. Through the strategic program IA First, the bank extends the use of this technology to the entire workforce through a governed model with human oversight. The workforce in Spain already has access to generative artificial intelligence tools, and according to the entity's data, 97% of employees with Microsoft 365 Copilot licenses use the tool daily.
The ranking position in Actualidad Económica adds to other distinctions in people management, such as the Top Employers España certification and the EFR Responsible Family Business seal, linked to professional development, equal opportunities, work-life balance, and employee well-being.
