BE-terna, a company of the Telefónica group, has launched an adaptable ERP solution in Germany for suppliers in the automotive sector. The tool allows companies to choose and implement only the capabilities they need, as published by telefonica.com.
The solution is based on the cloud ERP system Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central. Compared to traditional large ERPs, its technological complexity is lower, making it easier to maintain the system and expand it as the organization grows.
It currently includes three preconfigured functionality packages to optimize key processes in the sector:
The sales module manages framework agreements with clients, plans delivery schedules, and tracks the status of orders. The EDI module simplifies electronic data exchange according to VDA standards, which the automotive industry uses to define how to manage quality processes. The packaging module controls handling units, supports custom packaging structures, and ensures batch traceability.
Jürgen Leu, manager of the BE-terna Business Line, explains the product's objective:
“With this new solution, which allows automotive suppliers to choose the ERP functionalities they truly need for their operations, we are helping them face the increasing pressure on costs, the ever-stricter requirements from equipment manufacturers, and the growing international competition.”
Suppliers looking for a management system with independent modules can now consult BE-terna's offering in Germany.
