CaixaBank has extended its agreement with Google Cloud until 2033, signed in 2023, to strengthen its cloud infrastructure, data analytics, and artificial intelligence. The bank will deploy Gemini Enterprise to create AI agents that automate internal tasks.

CaixaBank has extended until 2033 the agreement it signed with Google Cloud in 2023, as reported by RRH Press. The financial entity thus reinforces its capabilities in artificial intelligence (AI), data management and analytics, and cloud infrastructure.

The bank will increase the adoption of cloud and AI technologies and accelerate the development of tools aimed at improving its employees' operational decision-making and personalising products and services for customers. The collaboration is structured around three pillars: data analytics and agent-based AI; hybrid infrastructure and security; and team training and development.

As part of the agreement, CaixaBank will deploy Gemini Enterprise, Google's AI platform to create, govern, and implement agents. These agents will enable the bank's teams to synthesise complex financial information, automate routine tasks, and optimise daily workflows, thereby accelerating internal decision-making.

In terms of data analytics, the agreement will allow the bank to turn large data repositories into useful information. Additionally, CaixaBank will combine its private environment with Google Cloud's secure infrastructure to enhance system resilience, scalability, and service availability, adapting to future growth. This deployment will add advanced threat detection and security monitoring capabilities under CaixaBank's governance and responsible AI frameworks.

The agreement also includes the provision of specialised professional services, collaborative initiatives, and training courses to facilitate the adoption of new technological capabilities and the training of teams.
