Over 200 executives from the Basque Country gathered at Torre Iberdrola to discuss how to maintain their professional competitiveness in the face of artificial intelligence. The places sold out in record time.
According to iberdrolaespana.com, more than 200 executives and managers from companies in the Basque Country met at Torre Iberdrola for a day organised by Women Lab Bilbao in collaboration with Iberdrola España. The event, the tenth collaboration between the two entities, filled all its places.
The day, titled "Professional Competitiveness in the Age of AI", combined a panel of experts with a live selection process in which the entire audience participated.
The panel addressed the labour market in Euskadi with data from the ISEAK Foundation, which explained how AI is changing the job search. Additionally, Adecco Learning & Consulting analysed the role of organisations, and Iberdrola España shared its experience in attracting and selecting talent.
Participants included Lucía Gorjón from the ISEAK Foundation; Nagore Rubio from Iberdrola España; Sandra Gómez from Adecco Learning & Consulting; and Héctor Labarta from Kaizen Talent. The moderation was led by Arrate Jaureguibeitia from BAIC, and the practical experience featured Ainhoa Alonso from SATLANTIS.
Being good at what you do is no longer enough. Today's professionals need both: talent and visibility, and AI will test both when a company decides whom to select or promote. That’s why we wanted them to experience it from both sides: that of the selector and that of the selected
This was stated by Laura Ruiz, founder of Women Lab Bilbao, who defines the network as a collective of more than 900 professionals from over 600 companies in the Basque Country.
The collaboration with Iberdrola España began in March 2023 and has led to ten events on intergenerational talent, digital transformation, sustainability, generational change, and artificial intelligence. The company has been the main promoter of women's sports in Spain since 2016.
