The average price of electricity for this Monday is €196.86 per megawatt hour in Spain. The cheapest time slot of the day is from 14:00 to 15:00.

The wholesale electricity price in Spain today, Monday, October 26, 2026, is €196.86 per megawatt hour. This is the reference that also serves as the basis for customers with regulated tariffs or PVPC.

According to Mundo Deportivo, the cap on gas has helped to reduce the daily megawatt hour price. For this Monday, the most economical slot is between 14:00 and 15:00, at €0.04958 per kilowatt hour.

On the opposite side, the most expensive slot is from 20:00 to 21:00, at €0.40546 per kilowatt hour. The average price of the day remains at €0.2275 per kilowatt hour.

Between 13:00 and 16:00, the price stays below €0.13 per kilowatt hour during all hours, except from 16:00 to 17:00, when it rises to €0.1606. From 17:00 onwards, the price skyrockets and remains high until 22:00.

According to the same information, the rise in prices across much of Europe is due to two factors: the increase in gas prices in international markets, which is used in combined cycle plants and sets the price during most hours, and the rise in the value of carbon dioxide (CO2) emission rights.
