The Focus Pyme event takes place on 28 October at the Urban Technological Park Rodes and is free, with prior registration. It focuses on applying AI to pre-sales, customer service, and automation.
According to ecosistemastartup.com, on 28 October, a new edition of Focus Pyme and Entrepreneurship Alcoià-Comtat-Vall d’Albaida will be held, aimed at SMEs, entrepreneurs, and professionals from the three regions. It will take place at the Urban Technological Park Rodes under the slogan Selling with AI: how to apply technology to boost your business.
The programme focuses on how to use artificial intelligence in pre-sales, customer service, and process automation to increase revenue, rather than explaining what AI is. Attendance is free and requires prior registration on the CEEI Alcoy-Valencia website, which is organising the event together with the Generalitat Valenciana through IVACE+i.
According to data from the European Central Bank, Spain has a 43% penetration of AI technologies in moderate or intensive use, behind Germany (47%) and ahead of Italy (26%) and France (22%). By size, SMEs have a non-use rate of 35%, compared to 13% for large companies.
According to the same study, smaller companies conduct fewer pilots and proof of concepts, although the rate of significant use is equivalent in both groups. Meanwhile, Eurostat places more than 90% of the Spanish business fabric in SMEs, with the main barriers being access to financing, lack of specialised talent, and uncertainty about return on investment.
The event opens with the session Tips for knowing how to sell (with or without AI), led by Desirée Navidad, a sales expert, who will analyse the most common mistakes that lead to lost business opportunities.
Afterwards, the round table Applications of artificial intelligence to increase sales brings together César Mariel, founder of Iristrace Iberia; Fernando Pérez, co-founder and corporate director of Aunoa, and Rafael Hierro, executive director of Grupo Juinsa. They will present applications in pre-sales, post-sales, personalisation, and automation.
The closing is a practical exercise, On AIr: live commercial challenge, led by AI expert Pedro Bisbal. Participants will use tools to prepare a commercial offer, respond to a complaint, or design a campaign aimed at selling more.
According to the same study from the European Central Bank, 33% of companies apply AI in main processes and 29% in secondary or support processes. The main barrier is the lack of AI skills, cited by 25% of non-user companies, followed by incompatibility with legacy systems (19%) and ethical concerns (19%).
