OpenAI has begun the rollout of ChatGPT Ads in Spain on August 24, 2026. For now, companies can access it through partners and agencies, before Ads Manager arrives.

OpenAI has started the rollout of ChatGPT Ads in Spain on August 24, 2026, according to ecosistemastartup.com, which in turn cites an analysis published by Bolsamanía. The rollout comes six months after the first advertising tests of the service in the United States.

For now, European advertisers access it through OpenAI Ads Solutions, collaborating agencies, and technology partners. General access via Ads Manager will arrive later, with no confirmed date in the available information.

For an SME, there are three key operational points:

The ads appear labelled as sponsored content and do not alter the organic responses of the model, so paying does not guarantee that the brand will be recommended. They are primarily shown to users on free plans, while paid plans do not include advertising.

The platform supports coverage, click, and conversion campaigns, with CPM, CPC, and oCPC models. In click campaigns, OpenAI recommends a maximum bid of between 3 and 5 dollars, a guideline that does not guarantee the actual cost per click.

Measurement is the aspect that is most neglected. Without OpenAI Pixel, Conversions API, conversion events, or UTM parameters, the optimisation of investment relies on intuition. Additionally, context hints describe situations and topics, and do not function as exact match keywords.

The market is in its early stages. According to a keyword study cited by Bolsamanía, out of 24 searches in Spanish with a clear commercial intent, 20 still do not register measurable volume. Demand exists, but competition for those positions is low.

The Mallorca-based agency Rex4media is already working on three fronts related to this novelty: GEO (Generative Engine Optimization), market research with synthetic people, and campaigns within ChatGPT. The agency defines itself as a boutique and argues that technology should free up time for analysis and client relationships.

SMEs that want to try this route can start by checking the availability of OpenAI Ads Solutions or the enabled technology partners, and review the measurement setup beforehand.
