The cloud cybersecurity startup Upwind Security has closed a Series C round of $400 million, valuing it at $3.8 billion, more than double its valuation from January.

According to Ecosistema Startup, Upwind Security has raised $400 million in a Series C round that values the company at $3.8 billion. The information comes from SiliconANGLE, which reported on the transaction.

The round more than doubles the company's valuation, which in January 2026 had closed a Series B of $250 million at $1.5 billion. Bessemer Venture Partners led the operation. Canapi Ventures joins as a new investor, while Cyberstarts, Greylock Partners, Craft Ventures, Salesforce Ventures, and Picture Capital are repeating investors. In total, the investors have contributed around $830 million.

Upwind does not sell traditional firewalls or antivirus software. Its platform provides real-time visibility over workloads, APIs, and AI agents, and operates on AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure. AWS customers can access it from the console via an integration with AWS Security Hub. The company cites Siemens, Roku, and Carvana as clients.

The co-founder and CEO, Amiram Shachar, co-founded the company in 2022 along with former colleagues from Spot, a cloud infrastructure optimisation startup that NetApp reportedly acquired for $450 million in 2020, according to SiliconANGLE. The platform aims to provide security, development, and DevOps teams with a shared view of their systems, including the access each AI component has to data.

According to the Israeli media Globes, citing The Information, Upwind reportedly rejected a buyout offer of $4 billion from Datadog. The official announcement of the round does not mention this transaction.

On another note, the Technology Foresight 2026 report from NTT DATA, cited by El Periódico, forecasts that the global market for AI applied to cybersecurity will grow from $28 billion in 2024 to $79.8 billion in 2029. A study by PwC reported by the same newspaper indicates that 60% of business and technology executives rank investment in cybersecurity among their top three strategic priorities.
