Naturgy has launched a free application for Android and iOS with a 24-hour AI assistant, available for both customers and non-customers.

According to information published on naturgy.com, Naturgy has introduced a new mobile application to support people in their daily relationship with energy. The app incorporates three features and can be downloaded for free from the Android and iOS platforms. It can be used by both customers and non-customers of the company.

The new features include a generative AI assistant to guide users through breakdowns of home energy equipment, weather forecasts linked to consumption, and a space for energy news explained simply.

The 24h assistant is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, with no waiting and free of charge. Users can describe the problem in their own words or enter the error code displayed by the appliance, without needing technical knowledge. Based on that information, the assistant provides a preliminary diagnosis and, if the issue is simple, guides the user step by step to try to resolve it.

When the breakdown requires a professional, the assistant can arrange for a Naturgy technician to be sent to the home in less than three hours. The cost of the visit depends on the service the customer has contracted. If there is a fee, they are informed beforehand to decide if they are interested. The company indicates that it has already resolved around 300,000 breakdowns and conducts over one million annual visits to homes to inspect and maintain equipment across Spain.

The weather forecast displays the weather for the next seven days based on the user's location or the chosen town. Additionally, it estimates how temperature changes may affect gas and electricity consumption in that area, along with energy efficiency tips for better energy and appliance use.

The third section features news from the energy sector explained in simple language. It includes national and international events, also of a geopolitical nature, and their potential impact on bills and household economy.

Carlos Vecino, General Director of Marketing at Naturgy, defines the service with these words:

“a close, useful, daily, and personalised relationship”

The app is now available for free download on Android and iOS.
