The metasearch engine Skyscanner launches its flight and hotel package comparator in Spain, which also reaches France, Italy, and the Netherlands. The tool has been operational since early 2026 in the United Kingdom and Germany.
According to smarttravel.news, Skyscanner has announced the arrival of a tool in Spain to compare holiday packages that brings together flight and hotel offers from different providers in a single interface. The announcement, made on November 3, also includes France, Italy, and the Netherlands.
The product started operating in early 2026 in the United Kingdom and Germany. With this new expansion, the comparator reaches six European markets, and the company is preparing new additions for 2027.
The tool applies the metasearch and price comparison technology that Skyscanner uses in other travel products. Users can check offers from various providers without visiting each website.
Among the companies in the package ecosystem are TUI, Jet2, Expedia, On the Beach, easyJet holidays, lastminute.com, and loveholidays. Skyscanner has recently added British Airways Holidays, Sembo, and AirNGo.
Skyscanner does not operate as a tour operator. Its proposal connects consumers with the offers of participating providers, and the terms of booking, included services, and responsibilities will depend on the company with which the reservation is made.
The company associates the expansion with increased demand. According to its data, interest in holiday packages grew by 19% during the peak booking season, and the platform records 91 million package searches per day. Skyscanner has not explained how it calculates this last figure or whether it refers to individual searches or inquiries for offers.
