The Junta de Andalucía's Budget for 2027 includes €419.8 million for the province of Huelva, according to Huelva Hoy based on budget documentation. The allocations cover environmental protection, culture, agriculture, fishing, and economic development.
The majority of the environmental investment is directed towards Doñana: €6 million for the renaturalisation of areas within the Doñana Protocol, along with €2 million for the North Corona Corridor, €5 million for the Natura 2000 Network, and €3 million for National Parks. This regional contribution is part of the Action Framework for Doñana, agreed upon with the Spanish Government, and adds to the €28.5 million from the Ministry for Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge.
The budget also anticipates aid for the renaturalisation and forest restoration of agricultural lands located in the northern area of the Doñana Forest Crown, in the municipalities of Almonte, Bonares, Lucena del Puerto, Moguer, and Rociana del Condado. Additionally, there will be fire prevention measures and recovery efforts in the area surrounding Niebla.
The former Bank of Spain in Huelva will be transformed into a cultural space with an allocation exceeding €7.7 million: over €6.8 million for the rehabilitation of the building and €855,768 for its adaptation. The Junta indicates that the project is already approved and that the awarding and commencement of the construction contract are planned.
The budget also includes €6.6 million for the comprehensive intervention of the former Tax Office building in the Constitution Square, and €704,100 for the cross-border programme Fortours IV, focused on enhancing border fortifications.
In innovation, the Scientific and Technological Park of Huelva will receive €642,718 to bring Building 7000 into service. The accounts also include agreements with the University of Huelva and the European consortium LifeWatch ERIC for the remediation of acid mine drainage.
In the agricultural sector, the installation of young farmers will have €7.3 million, and modernisation and irrigation works will receive €2 million within the Pepac. In fishing, €784,237 will be allocated to surveillance and quality infrastructures, including the creation of the Andalusian Fishing Control Centre, and €1.8 million for the marketing and transformation of fish products.
