Talky Labs and YK-Robotics have closed funding rounds of €1.5 million and €1 million, respectively. Ball Inn has another €1 million round underway.
According to ecosistemastartup.com, Talky Labs closed a pre-seed round of €1.5 million in September, while YK-Robotics completed a seed round of €1 million. This is in addition to a €1 million round that Ball Inn, an amateur basketball community, has in progress.
Talky Labs was founded a year ago by Jorge Beamonte (CEO) and Maximilian Letón (COO). The round was backed by funds such as HelloWorld, Silence VC, and Motive Force, along with business angels like Sebastián Gunningham, CEO of Remitly, and Paul Golbaum, CEO of Lightbase.
According to the data provided by the company, its technology accounts for between 86% and 93% of the documents it processes without human intervention. It has handled over 1.8 million documents and more than €2 billion in client spending.
The tool learns from each company's accounting history and from the criteria of its teams when an accountant resolves a query. It then records the result in the client's ERP and maintains a traceability of each decision. The funds will be used to enhance the product, consolidate current clients, and advance international expansion.
“Every company has its own way of doing accounting and it is almost never written down.”
This was expressed by Beamonte in the company's statement, where he added that Talky learns that criterion and applies it to difficult cases.
YK-Robotics was founded in 2020 in Florence by Joan Ortega and Marco Guadagni, although its parent company is in Spain and it has a subsidiary in Italy. Its product, YK-Platform, is software that orchestrates the elements of an industrial robotic system. The seed round was co-led by Draper B1 and First Drop, with participation from BStartup (Banco Sabadell), Coben Ventures, Elephant Capital, and PnP USA.
“The robot is the easy part.”
The company explains that the user requests a task, an operator screen, or a format change in natural language, and the system translates it into the necessary industrial protocols. The platform supports the robotic cell from design to maintenance, with remote supervision from YK-Portal, and does not depend on the client's hardware.
