The Ibex 35 rises 0.41% and stands at 19,450 points, according to El Confidencial, while European markets lose initial momentum after a negative session on Wall Street. The Nasdaq is the most affected index, with declines of around 5%, in a context marked by fears that the outcome of the US midterm elections will hinder the expansion of artificial intelligence and data centres.

US tech stocks lead the losses. Tesla falls nearly 11.5%, Nvidia drops 9.2%, Meta declines 4%, and Microsoft 3.5%. The S&P 500 loses 4.4% and the Dow Jones 3.5%.

In the US labour market, initial jobless claims totalled 189,000 in the last week of October, about 6,000 fewer than the previous week. This is the lowest figure since mid-July and the lowest level since 1969.

The Brent oil rises 3%, reaching 97.5 dollars, after falling to two-month lows yesterday. In fixed income, the Spanish ten-year bond drops one basis point to 3.84%.

In the Ibex, the advance is supported by corporate results. Rovi soars 8.31% after earning 162.8 million until September, 67% more. BBVA rises 2.05% and Inditex 1.69%.

Conversely, ArcelorMittal closes with a loss of 0.51% despite having risen more than 3% at the opening. Its profit falls 70.8%, down to 800 million euros, due to the halt of its operations in Ukraine. Among the stocks that decline the most are Indra (3.94%), Merlin Properties (3.67%), and ACS (3.03%).

In Europe, the French Cac advances 0.34%, while the Italian Mib loses 1.03% and the German Dax 0.43%. The Stoxx 600 reaches historic highs during the day and then gives back 0.4%. Rheinmetall plunges 16.14% after lowering its forecasts.

Deoleo collapses 21.1% after accepting a sale offer from the consortium formed by Acesur and Dcoop, in a deal valued at 520 million euros.
