On 17 November, the World Trade Center in Zaragoza will host the Aragón Business Summit 2026, with talent as the core theme of the day organised by the IAF.

On 17 November, starting at 16:00, the World Trade Center in Zaragoza will host the Aragón Business Summit 2026, a gathering of the Aragonese business community organised by the Government of Aragón through the Instituto Aragonés de Fomento (IAF). According to ecosistemastartup.com, the theme for this edition is "Talent, a key piece for the growth of companies".

The day will combine a keynote address with discussions among executives and the presentation of four business best practices developed in Aragón. Nearly twenty speakers and eight ambassadors from various sectors will participate.

The opening conference will be led by Inma Shara, conductor and composer, who will speak about talent management and leadership. Benito Tesier, president of CEOE Aragón and general director of Brembo Iberia, uses the metaphor of an orchestra to describe the work of an executive: each musician masters their instrument, and the conductor coordinates those abilities to make the ensemble function.

Tesier identifies the challenge as the reorganisation and training of teams, as automation and quality control systems are installed on production lines.

"When we manage to combine their experience with new technical skills, we improve quality, productive efficiency, and team engagement."

Part of the solution, according to Tesier, lies in collaboration with universities and Vocational Training centres, in dual vocational training, and in updating the skills of those already working in companies.

Alicia Asín, co-founder and CEO of Libelium, presents talent as a strategic decision.

"With the same strategic plan, two different organisations will achieve totally different results, and that is due to the people who will execute that plan."

Asín recalls the integration of another technology company by Libelium in 2022. From that process, she concludes that conversation and generosity help bridge two work cultures.

Daniel Álvarez, president of the Aragón Health Cluster (Arahealth), defines talent in a similar way.

"The accelerator that will allow us to gain competitive advantages and grow."

Other ambassadors address the management of diverse teams, such as Cristina Gallart Saura, executive president of Fribin Foods, and the recruitment of young professionals through mentoring and clear pathways, according to Lourdes Domínguez, general director of Grupo BTV.

The congress continues the Management Model for Competitiveness and Innovation in Business, developed by the IAF and presented in the 2025 edition. The model is organised into four dimensions: Strategy and Governance, Operations and Customers, Resources and Talent, and Transformation and Innovation. It includes indicators and self-diagnosis tools to identify improvement opportunities.

According to the Study on Salaries and Labour Policy in the Digital Technology Sector 2026, prepared by Ametic, 90.4% of companies in the sector faced difficulties in hiring talent in the past year. The average salary reached 47,300 euros, a 3.1% increase from the previous year.

The same study indicates that digital now accounts for 27% of Spain's GDP. The Aragón Business Summit will take place on 17 November at the World Trade Center in Zaragoza, starting at 16:00.
